For the first time ever

My son said, “I love you.”

We were putting him to bed, and he was stalling by asking for “one more book” repeatedly. And then giving us kisses. We finally put him down and we were walking out. We said, “We love you.” And he responded, “I love you.” I think it was just another stalling tactic, but it was a good one. We were besides ourselves, happy.

  1. I’m way jealous. My son just tries to rip my shirt off when I put him to bed. Yeah – good times.

Oh – I guess I should say I’m still breastfeeding to try to hack back any Freudian theorists out there.
